Tutorial - Configuration - Program Configuration
Punch Clock has many settings that can be changed to customized how Punch Clock works for your business. This section introduces you to the Program Configuration section, and shows you how it works.
From the admin console, click on Maintenance and then on Program Configuration. You will be presented with a screen showing different configuration options.
The settings table shows you the different settings you have the ability to customize for your installation of Punch Clock.
On the far left is the setting name. This column contains the names of each setting.
The next column contains the current value of this particular configuration option. In the above example, the setting for the "Masked Punch In" setting is "Normal".
The final column contains a longer description of the settings.
To edit one of the settings, either click the setting once to select and click the EDIT button, or double-click on the setting to modify.
Here's the window that allows you to edit the configuration options.
The first entry on the screen is the name of the Setting. This value cannot be changed.
The Setting Value is where you can choose the value of this configuration option. Use the mouse to click the little DOWN arrow and select the value you want.
The description area explains each of the setting values, so you can determine which one best suits your needs.
Once you have selected the setting value, click the SAVE button to save and exit.
